BOULDERING &

CLIMBING

Climbers flock to Utah for the diversity and quality of rocks found here. From boulder fields to towering cliffs, Utah has it all. While the Carbon Corridor doesn't have the abundance of climbing and bouldering as is found in and around the Swell, but it does have some great spots that the locals frequent! From Volkswagen Wall in Spring Canyon to the bouldering areas in Price Canyon, there are some great spots for you to test your skills.

Currently, the local Climbers Alliance is working to upgrade bolts and designate climbing areas, if you are interested in learning more about the canyons and climbing areas you can contact the Castle Country Climbing Alliance through their Facebook page.

It is to the south of the Corridor that you will find some of the more popular climbing destinations - spots with national and international acclaim such as Joe's Valley, which features world class bouldering opportunities with over 188 bouldering sites and 9.7 miles of social trails in the area, and the abundance of climbs in and around Moab. Each year Joe's Valley welcomes athletes from around the world to their annual Bouldering Festival - the event is great for both climbers and spectators!

If you need gear for your climbing adventure, the Carbon County Recreation Department has gear for rent year round!
