FAMILY FRIENDLY 5K EVENTS
Carbon County hosts several running events throughout the year. They also assist local organizations with several more events throughout the community.
For Recreation sponsored events, individuals of all ages are welcome to register.
Individual cost is $20 . Families are offered a discounted rate, after 2 members are registered. The cart automatically discounts the rates down to all individuals after the first member.
Early bird race shirts are available for those who register at the start of a registration, after the t-shirt deadline they are no longer available.

Annual 5k Events
Greek Festival 5K
Join us for the annual Greek Festival 5k. This evening run is typically held the Thursday prior to the annual Assumption Greek Orthodox Church Greek Festival in July each year.
Call the Recreation Department for exact dates and registration information.
International Days 5K
Tour Northern Price with the International Days 5k. The race begins on Thursday night at the Price City Peace Gardens following the opening ceremony for the community event. This challenging race takes runners past several other city locations, including Washington and Pioneer Parks. For 2022 this event is scheduled for August 4th.
2022 INTERNATIONAL DAYS 5K RESULTS
Carbon County Fair - Back in the Saddle
Tour the Fairgrounds many facilities and sights with the Carbon County Fair 5k. The race begins on Saturday Morning at the Carbon Events & Recreation Complec (CERCUT) to start off all the fun events for the day! This challenging race takes runners past several locations, including the arena, motocross track, many athletics fields, and our RC Airport. For 2023 this event is scheduled for August 12th.
Running Dead 5K
Join us for a fun Halloween themed race on Saturday, October 29, 2022. The race will begin and end at the Carbon Events & Recreation Complex (CERCUT). Costumes are encouraged and prizes will be given out.
Turkey Trot
Help support the local food bank with the annual Turkey Trot. This fun run is scheduled for the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Everyone of all ages are welcome, and the registration fee is one non-perishable food item which we will donate to the local food bank.
Registration will begin the first of November.
Pleasant Valley Days 5k
Race will take place the first weekend of July. Sign in time begins at 6:30 AM. Race begins at 7:30 AM. Starting point and sign in point is 3 miles south of Scofield on Highway 96 (road to clear creek).
Early bird registration will include a t-shirt, before June 13th.
Other Registration - which does not include a t-shirt.
Each registration will cost $20.00 per person or a group discount after 3 members in the same household.
Remembering 9/11 5K
Last year on September 11th we gathered with many of you, our community, and climbed stairs or walked a 5K in honor of those Heroes lost on that fateful day in 2001.
This year we want to do more and we would once again love it if you all would join us!
In the past year two of our own, our Local Heroes, were diagnosed with cancer. We want to give to them in addition to honoring the Fallen Heroes from 9-11-2001.
Once again we will have the option to climb 2,071 stairs or walk a 5K. We are doing a registration for our event this year and ALL proceeds will be divided and donated to the two Local Heroes!
So please, join us in Remembering the Fallen to Support the Present!
