Family

Fun

Pack up the kids and hit the road to make memories that will last a lifetime. Whether you are spending the day at the Desert Wave Pool, or learning all about Dinosaurs, the Carbon Corridor is sure to please family members of all ages.

Day

One

A Visit to the Prehistoric Museum

Who said that vacation means the learning has to stop? Not here in the Corridor. Start your adventure by heading to the USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum to learn all about the rich paleontological, archaeological, and geologic history in the area. Kids can even try their paleontology skills in the Discovery Area!

Get some energy out at the Desert Wave Pool

Then you can throw on your swimsuits and head to the Desert Wave Pool where you can ride the waves, relax by the water, or even test your skills at the indoor aqua climbing wall.

After the kids have worked up quite a hunger, you will need a meal that fits everyone's tastes. Who loves pizza? Anybody for a burger and fries? There are so many great restaurants to choose from... but no matter what you choose, save room for dessert - our local restaurants have the best baked goods, trust us, they are not to be missed!

Day

Two

A new day means a new adventure, and a perfect next stop is to head down to The Swell! Be sure to grab some breakfast, stock up on supplies - sunscreen, water and snacks are a must before making your way out to the natural playground.

Exploring The Swell

Hang out with some hoo-doos, which are unique rock formations that you will have to see with your own eyes to believe at Goblin Valley State Park. Check out the amazing view of the Little Grand Canyon from the Wedge Overlook. Or you can even explore the canyons yourself when you explore Little Wildhorse Canyon.
