We now have conformation of shipment of the backordered parts to fix the problem at Ford Ridge. The equipment should arrive on the 8th of April. After this date the tower crew will set a date to install the new equipment on the tower, depending on weather and safety.
We have ordered the equipment for the repair at the Ford Ridge communication site. We have specified quick delivery and some parts will be here today. Unfortunately some parts are backordered and we are waiting for them to get back into stock. Once in stock they too will be delivered quickly. Once all the parts arrive a tower crew will be sent to the site weather permitting. The issue is a main cable problem for the microwave radio receiver that is used to get the TV channels to us from Salt Lake. The fix will require a tower crew to remove the bad cable and replace it with the new better cable on the tower.
We have implemented at temporary fix to get some channels back on the air. Those that have their antenna pointed towards Ford Ridge and Star Point should have most of the channels. Those in the Helper area should have about half the channels. Those in northeast price and use Wood Hill only have a few channels back. We are working to get Helper and Wood Hill to have the same channels as Ford and Star Point. This is a temporary fix and there still could be issues until the proper fix has been implemented.
As of 3/25/2024 we are aware of the issue with the over-the-air TV signals. This issue is system wide and we have chased down the problem to Ford Ridge. We are now working on solutions to fix the problem. At this moment we do not have a time when it will be fixed.
As of 11/6/2023 To address the previous issues our technicians have replaced older Cable with newer Fiber.
10/20/2023 – There is a problem in Utah County that is causing a TV reception problem for Southeastern Utah residents. We have technicians working on the problem and are currently waiting on some parts to hopefully resolve the interference that we are receiving. The parts are anticipated to be received early next week.
10/17/23 – We are continuing repairs on TV signal issues. The system was taken offline as of this morning and technicians are working on equipment in Lehi (Lake Mountain.) We plan to have services restored around 5PM.
As of 10/4 the loss of Utility power and compounding backup power issues are causing Television outages. Repairs are in progress. (Utility Power has been restored)
As of 10/3, our technician is currently deployed at Ford Ridge making repairs and diagnosing issues that have been reported.
We are aware of TV service outages as of September 27. Technicians are actively working on the issues.
Update (9/28/23 3:30PM): TV services should be restored. Issues with the microwave data link between Lake Mountain and Ford Ridge have been resolved.
Update: (9/27/23 2:00PM): TV services experienced further interruptions over the weekend. Equipment has been replaced at Lake Mountain to bring services back online.
