Rural County Grant

The Carbon County Rural County Grant Program (RCGP) is designed to address the economic development needs of Carbon County.

The Center for Rural Development works with businesses in Utah’s rural counties, providing resources and programs to sustain business and improve employment opportunities.  The center collaborates with local governments and other development partners to support rural economic growth.

Utah is known for cutting-edge universities, booming tech and life sciences industries, national and state parks and world-class outdoor recreation. USDA Business Programs provide financial backing and technical assistance to stimulate business creation and growth.

DWS Economic Snapshot

Snapshots are a comprehensive look at a county economy and its performance. Job counts are the primary measure, but additional economic variables are included to offer additional insight. Job counts are profiled down to the industry level. The local economies are placed in juxtaposition against the Utah and U.S. economies for reference.

Census Builder

The Census Business Builder (CBB) is a suite of services that provide selected demographic and economic data from the Census Bureau tailored to specific types of users in a simple to access and use format.

World Trade Center Utah Step Grant

The State of Utah has received a State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) Grant to help Utah small businesses enter and expand into dynamic global markets. STEP is funded in part through a Grant with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and is administered by World Trade Center Utah.

Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC)

PTAC’s mission is to help Utah businesses successfully compete in the government marketplace by providing knowledgeable and outstanding customer service.

Go Utah Main Street Program

The new Utah Main Street Program will help Utah communities revitalize their economy, appearance, and image of their downtown commercial districts. They do this by building a strategy centered around a community’s unique heritage and attributes, lifting up what is special about it to make it a great place to live and visit. The program will provide a framework and resources to support a community’s downtown revitalization efforts.
